Earth Day is coming up and this blog has a number of environment related materials you could make use of for beginner or intermediate English language learners, whether ESL or EFL.
In 2019, Earth Hour is on March 30th from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Earth Hour is an annual symbolic gesture to unite with other people of the world to express a commitment to protect the Earth. The simple act of turning off lights is easy to convey to low beginner English language learners.
Your ESL or EFL students will notice people wearing green on March 17th and may see shamrocks and leprechauns. Help them crack our cultural code with a lesson on St. Patrick's Day.
